Hello I would like to introduce myself. My name is Cindy and I am the owner of the retail business called "The Red Balloon". I have been in operation for over 4 years in the Oshawa downtown area as a home based registered business and I have been creating florals and crafts for over 25 years.
My goal is to provide customers with exceptional products and professional, friendly customer service for all your fresh and silk flowers, balloon grams and bouquets and gift baskets or planters. Therefore, I provide excellent customer service, skillfully crafted florals and balloon designs and a professional attitude and understanding of their needs. The Red Balloon takes pride and quality in providing you with the utmost in customer service. Your satisfaction is guaranteed on all of "The Red Balloon" services and products.
The Red Balloon is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and delivers daily for your no worry last minute gift giving. "Design and Deliver" There is also pick up service available if your are not using our delivery service. Simply call in your order and pick it up whenever you like.
The Red Balloon is also the only direct Helium Balloon source in the Oshawa downtown core. Service delivery on all of our products is FREE in the Durham and surrounding regions. There is a minimum order of $20.00 for free delivery. Any order less then $20.00 or out of the service area will be subject to a $10.00 delivery charge.
Delivery Service Area Information
The free service delivery areas are as follows: all of the Durham Region including North, South, East and West. West to: Whitby, Ajax. North to Raglan and Columbus and east to the Clarington area as far as Bowmanville. Any delivery outside of these areas will be subject to a min fee of $10.00. All of the floral and balloon products are also available via pre-ordering for Pick Up service.
Security
This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. All user credit card information is securely communicated using secure socket layer (SSL) software, which is the industry standard and among the best software available for secure commerce transactions. All user information stored on our server is stored in an encrypted format. Notwithstanding these efforts, we caution you that perfect security does not exist on the Internet
Payment Methods
The Red Balloon uses the PayPal Payment center to process "add to cart" items when purchasing products online. You may use all major Credit Cards or Interac/Debit payments with the Cart Items. You DO NOT have to have a PayPal account to process your payment for a Credit or Debit Card purchase online.
MC, Visa, Amex or Interac/Debit is accepted with "Phone in" "Emailed" or "Faxed orders".
Cash, Credit Cards or debit is accepted for "Pick up" orders.
The Red Balloon also accepts Email money transfers if you do not have any of the above Credit Cards or PayPal account. Please call ahead and place your order and inform me then if you are wanting to use an email money transfer. We will then go over the transaction instructions to complete your order. If you have any questions please contact me at one of the emails listed on the contact me page or use the message center available there to reach me directly.
*Please note that all orders are subject to Canadian Sales tax on applicable services and products.
Substitution Policy
Occasionally, substitutions may be necessary to create your bouquet due to the availability of certain flowers in various parts of the country. Care is taken to maintain the style, theme and color scheme of the arrangement, using flowers of equal value. Additionally, the substitution of certain items may be necessary due to increased demand, especially during major holidays. In single-flower arrangements, such as an all rose bouquet, or orchids, we will make every attempt to match the flower type , but may substitute with another color. By using "The Red Balloon" as your floral or balloon provider, you understand and agree to this policy.

December 28th 2009 Party for 90th Birthday Party in Oshawa for Hazel A party was held for my favorite aunt's 90th birthday on December 28th, 2009. While browsing for a florist in the Oshawa area, I found Cindy at The Red Balloon. I wanted a balloon bouquet and knew I had found just the place to create it for me! Cindy went above and beyond my expectations to provide expert advice and service. She created a beautiful balloon dome and set it up with a gorgeous arrangement of silk flowers. My aunt is very excited about it because they look so real, but will last for her to enjoy and as she told me: "I have just the perfect place for them!" February 27th 2009 A special gift for Kaylee Oshawa: Hi Cindy! I just wanted to send along my own thank you for the order you put together for my daughter on her 4th birthday! You could not have found a kid more excited than she was when she saw the balloons! You went above and beyond by picking ones that would be perfect for a girl�s 4th birthday and the Barbie heart in heart balloon took her (and my son�s!) breath away! The little bear that you added was the finishing touch and I had to take it off the bouquet right away so she could sleep with it tonight!
